Story
Welcome to Yohan's Chocolate Shop.
I started this little business during the pandemic in January 2021. Like many others, I was really missing my friends and family, I wanted to find a way to bring people together when we all needed it the most. I am a pastry chef and I love painting so I thought why not combine both passions by creating some fun, magical and delicious chocolates. 'Yohan' is the name of my cuddly toy panda, the idea of using him as the face of the brand was to make it a little quirky and fun but also original and memorable. I imagine him as a little chocolate wizard creating beauty and magic with chocolate.
Yohan’s chocolates are inspired by the beauty and love all around us and I hope you love to eat them as much as I enjoy making them for you.

Chocolates
Yohan‘s chocolates are all handcrafted, created to bring all of our lovely customers a spark of happiness. Whether you are buying a box as a gift for a loved one or as a treat for yourself, we really hope you love them. All the fillings, flavours and colour designs have been developed especially to take you on a little chocolate adventure. We use different cocoa butter colours and paint techniques to represent the flavours and most of the bonbons will have a specific shape for their flavour. Please have a look at the bonbon menu for more details and please get in touch if there are any special fillings or flavours you would like us to make for you. At Yohan’s, we believe there is magic in chocolate and we hope you find the magic in ours.
Ingredients
All of our chocolate bonbons are freshly made with natural and organic ingredients. Our ingredients are sourced as locally as possible with most of our suppliers in the Peak District to help reduce our carbon footprint. Yohan’s uses Valrhona chocolate, a Fairtrade, ethical and sustainable chocolate producer. Along with oat and nut milks in our vegan range. The small amount of palm oil in our recipes is sustainable.
Please contact Yohan’s with any dietary requirements, all our bonbons can be made vegan, nut and gluten free.
Zero Waste and Sustainability
At Yohan’s, our impact on the health of the planet is something extremely important, so we are doing as much as possible to limit any negative effect this business may have on the environment around us. One tree is planted for every box purchased, in partnership with Ecologi. There is no plastic in our packaging and it is fully recyclable. We only use biodegradeable gloves and cling film in the kitchen along with eco friendly cleaning products. The chocolates are painted with bamboo brushes and biodegradable sponges and we use bamboo cleaning pads for polishing the chocolate moulds. Our dairy products are sourced from local dairy farms in the Peak District. Most of our suppliers are in the Peak District.
